Three Cheers for the British National Health Service !!!

Here's a sneak peak at the leg a few days on. I finally decided to have it looked at and went to University College London Hospital. While filling out the admittance paperwork I was stung on the arm by a bee, but that's another story. Four hours later I emerged after an x-ray with good news: no break, and even more unexpectedly: no bill. I, along with many apparent immigrants and good citizens of England, were treating kindly, quickly, and with respect. Deepest thanks, England.

Falling for England

Yep, right down these steps from The Tower Room at our hostel in Bath. Nothing broken, just bruised and feeling sheepish. I went into a slide reminiscent of my softball playing days. Perhaps this room shouldn't be let to the 50+ crowd? But it was a sweet little room with leafy trees all around. Following are pictures from the more pleasant parts of the visit to Bath.

The fall seemed to go on forever with plenty of time for me to be thinking, well, this isn't good at all, one leg is tucked under, going round corner now--kind of like an amusement ride--and did I decide to buy that medical travel insurance?

Cleaning With Explosives: Dublin July 13, 2016

First day in Dublin after a laborious trip through airport security which included a private room pat down for me, because my hands tested positive for explosives. That's what I get for cleaning the house before driving to the airport? How odd. Here's some pics from our first day in Dublin.
